Movin’ on in Science

This week the class finished up its study of plants.  Students learned about early plant development, comparing wheat and soybeans as seeds and later as they sprouted on wet paper towels inside zip-locked bags.  On Tuesday second graders moved their seedlings into actual soil.  Though we’ll be moving on to a study of animals next week, the class will continue to monitor the progress of our crops.
